back to hong kong
while on my way back to hong kong from taiwan I was thinking how funny it was that Taiwan was so culturally different than Hong Kong, If I were to compare Hong Kong to a city in the United States, then it would have to be New York City. Hong Kong isn't really too much different. There are a lot of tourists in Hong Kong, which to me, is really suprising because there really isn't anything to do in Hong Kong. accept well if you are in to history stuff.
I enjoyed it, and learned quite a bit, but if you aren't really too much into history then I don't recommend going to Hong Kong. Or unless you know people. But basically the rest of the trip was just travelling and seeing sights throughout Hong Kong, towards the end I realized that I was getting bored fast so I found other things to do to enjoy my time there. such as just walking around and taking pictures of stuff. I used a Hong Kong guide book for most of my adventures in Hong Kong, and spent a lot of Money. Might of been a mistake ick.. but the important thing was i enjoyed myself, i was by myself 90 % of the time i spent there so I probably would have had more fun if I wasn't, but it was good time.

A Weekend In Taiwan

So we flew to Taiwan... Went through customs.... Got on the bus then took a taxi to the Hotel. When we got there we found out it was too early to check in so we just kept our bags there and explored Taiwan for a little bit..
One of the first places that I can remember that we went to was Shilin Night Market. It was pretty cool because they had food there that Most everyone who reads my blog never really heard of before.. First thing I tried was Something Called Pearl Milk Tea.. here is a picture of it... Those pearls on the Bottom are Tapioca Beads.. and you chew them which is why they give you a huge straw. It was really good.
As we were walking along the market it didn't smell so well because all you can smell is a mixture of all different foods.. Exotic seafood and crazy mixtures... The thing that boggled my mind the most is the way they leave the meat out without covering it. when flies are all over it... makes you not want to eat it if your used to buying your meat wrapped...
The next thing I ate was something called stinky tofu... It was really good too... It stank. it smells like feet but it tastes really good. especially when they mix it with a sauce.. it is deep frieds so it's not all that healthy.. but much more healthy compared to other things I saw there.

In Hong Kong
Today my day started at 12AM thursday morning when I left for albany international airport to Hong Kong. It was a 17 hour flight from the United States to Hong Kong but I had about 2 Layovers 1 was in Detroit, which was four hours and the other one was in Tokyo which was about an hour and 15 mins.. anyways the point is that it was a long trip to get here... Not really looking forward to traveling back to the United States. From the airport Kris and I took a bus to a t0wn called Hong Hou from Hong Hou we took a taxi to the college.. After we got to Kris' house we decided we were leaving to Taiwan about 2 hours after we got back we headed to the airport again for Taiwan.. I got about an hour of sleep Kris got none ... after not really being in Hong Kong the first couple of days I really got to experience Taiwan before Hong Kong. Taiwan is more Cultural place than Hong Kong is. I would say that Hong Kong is more Like New York City... because not just chinese people live there. It is a melting pot of many different languages and Nationalities.. almost any one you walk up to in Hong Kong speaks English
The have a subway system here in Hong Kong called the MTR... They have it in Taiwan as well it is called the MRT... No thats not a typo... but it makes it easier to get around...
So Kris and I booked plane tickets then booked rooms for Hotel then Went to Taiwan.. I LOVE TRAVELLING
